I've adapted several official OFP SP and campaign missions to use the DKM Mod's most impressive RAH-66 Comanche helicopter addon.

The mission pack is named after Quanah Parker, a Comanche Indian chief. Here's a little biographical information:

Of the great Comanche chiefs, Quanah Parker is probably the best known to Americans. His unlikely name means "fragrance" (sweet smell). He probably obtained his notoriety because his mother, Cynthia Anne Parker, was an Anglo-Texan. Cynthia was captured when she was nine-years old during an 1836 raid in Texas. Raised as member of the band, she married a Comanche, and they had three children.

In 1860 she was recaptured by Texas Rangers and her husband killed. Quanah escaped and later became a leader among the Kwahada. Reunited with her white relatives, Cynthia only wished to return to her son and the Comanches. This was not allowed, and she died in 1864. Among the Comanches themselves, other chiefs were regarded as more important than Quanah. Among these were: Ten Bears, Red Sleeves, Green Horn, Iron Shirt, Leather Cape, and Buffalo Hump.

From "Comanche History"

The mission pack contains the following missions:

  1. Comanche Assault (Jungle), adapted from the official 1985 Cold War Crisis Campaign's "Air Assault" mission.

  2. Comanche Assault (Desert), adapted from the official 1985 Cold War Crisis Campaign's "Air Assault" mission.

  3. Comanche Superiority (Jungle), adapted from the official 1985 Cold War Crisis Campaign's "Air Superiority" mission.

  4. Comanche Superiority (Desert), adapted from the official 1985 Cold War Crisis Campaign's "Air Superiority" mission.

  5. Comanche Attack (Desert), adapted from the official OFP SP mission "Ground Attack".

  6. Comanche Attack II (Winter), adapted from the official OFP SP mission "Ground Attack II".

Besides modifying these missions to replace Cobra and Apache helicopters with the DKM Mod's Comanche, I've also changed the skill settings of both the US and Soviet units. I've also added and changed a few units here and there. So you'll find a few more Shilkas and several AA soldiers where there weren't any before in the original missions.

Even with the added and strengthened enemy forces, they're no match for the Comanche. You should still be able to win these missions more easily than you were able to in the original missions. The Comanche is just that much superior.

I've also modified the town and village names in the mission briefings and messages to reflect the different names given to the same locations in the desert and jungle maps.

If you have any recommendations on improving or correcting anything wrong with these missions, just email me and tell me so.
